February 2014 - 

Freedom House is an independent watchdog organization dedicated to the expansion of freedom around the world.

Today, as more than two billion people live under oppressive rule, Freedom House speaks out against the main threats to democracy and empowers citizens to exercise their fundamental rights. We analyze the challenges to freedom; advocate for greater political and civil liberties; and support frontline activists to defend human rights and promote democratic change. Founded in 1941, Freedom House was the first American organization to champion the advancement of freedom globally.

Jaida H. Im, Founder and Executive Director of Freedom House thanked us very much for the donation of $5350. "This will be a great help for the residents of the Freedom House. Your support is very much appreciated".
 February 2014 - Fisher House

Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.

These homes are located at major military and VA medical centers nationwide, close to the medical center or hospital they serve. Fisher Houses have up to 21 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room and an inviting living room. Fisher House Foundation ensures that there is never a lodging fee. Since inception, the program has saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $200 million in out of pocket costs for lodging and transportation.

August 2014 Update:
William J. Ball, Chief of Voluntary Service for the Fisher House and the department of Veterans Affairs at the Palo Alto VA hospital is the recipient of the silent auction benefit during our annual conference held in February 2014 in Foster City. 

Viviane Schaller, co-founder of Silicon Valley Corporate Relocation and BAMM Silent Auction Chair presented a check over $5,350 for their Fisher House program. 


December 2014 - Toys for Tots Program Drive

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity, is the authorized fundraising and support organization for the Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation provides the funding and support needed for successful annual toy collection and distribution campaigns. Local campaigns are conducted annually in over 700 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Local toy collection campaigns begin in October and last until mid to late December. Toy distribution also takes place mid to late December. Members of the community drop new, unwrapped toys in collection boxes positioned in local businesses. Coordinators pick up these toys and store them in central warehouses where the toys are sorted by age and gender. At Christmas, Coordinators, with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies, distribute the toys to the less fortunate children of the community. Over the years, Marines have established close working relationships with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies which are well qualified to identify the needy children in the community and play important roles in the distribution of the toys.

While Toys for Tots Coordinators organize, coordinate and manage the campaign, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate toys.

Local business leaders play key roles. They allow Coordinators to locate drop-off/collection boxes in their stores; provide free warehouse space for storing and sorting toys during October, November and December; provide vehicles to collect toys from drop-off sites; sponsor toy raising events; and help Coordinators arrange media exposure for Toys for Tots in the local community.

National corporations support Toys for Tots by establishing affiliations with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. These corporations make donations to the Foundation or conduct cause marketing initiatives from which they share royalties with the Foundation. In almost every instance, the marketing initiatives of these corporations give significant added visibility and name recognition to Toys for Tots. Such visibility enhances the campaign at the national and local levels. The funds emanating from these affiliations enable the Foundation to purchase toys to supplement local collections; purchase promotion and support materials and defray the costs of annual Toys for Tots campaigns.

 February 2013 - BayKids Studio's

BayKids Studio’s roots took hold in 1994 when founder Dave Spencer started a community outreach program for the San Francisco Giants. Inspired by the program’s success in helping children, Dave founded BayKids in 1997 with the goal of offering new and innovative ways to empower children through self-expression. Initially, BayKids developed cutting-edge multimedia programs to teach kids how to create websites, animated shorts, narrative films, documentaries, music and art.

Today, BayKids Studios has evolved to focus its multimedia expertise on serving children in the Bay Area facing medical challenges. Working in partnership with Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, our digital filmmaking programs provide kids with the opportunity to explore their creativity while learning filmmaking, teamwork and leadership skills. BayKids Studios has helped over 5,000 children and their families get through cancer and other medical conditions.

   February 2013 - Ecumenical Hunger Program

The Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP), a 35 year old, private, non-profit, community-based organization located in East Palo Alto provides emergency food, clothing, case management, and household essentials to families in need in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto. In addition, EHP plays a major role in both advocating for, and providing referrals to resources available to low-income families and individuals in our community.

EHP cares and so does BAMM. During the annual conference, BAMM members held a Silent Auction to benefit Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP), a local charity organization located in East Palo Alto. We were able to make a little difference to EHP and their clients by supporting them with our donation of over $6,300. Viviane Schaller, Silent Auction Chair and Silicon Valley Corporate Relocation Co-founder, is presenting the check to LESIA PRESTON, Executive Director from the proceeds of the Silent Auction

February 2012 - American Red Cross

Each year, the American Red Cross immediately responds to about 70,000 natural and man-made disasters in the U.S., ranging from fires to hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents and explosions. People count on the Red Cross to help them in their darkest hour. In turn, the support of donors makes it possible for the Red Cross to fulfill its humanitarian mission. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations who invest in the Red Cross.

The Red Cross was chartered by the United States Congress to "carry on a system of national and international relief in time of peace and apply the same in mitigating the sufferings caused by pestilence, famine, fire, floods, and other great national calamities, and to devise and carry on measures for preventing the same." The Charter is unique to the Red Cross because it assigns duties and obligations to the nation, to disaster survivors, and to the people who generously support our work through donations.

Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting people's immediate emergency needs caused by disaster. When disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and emotional health service to address basic human needs and assist individuals and families in resuming their normal daily activities independently. The Red Cross also feeds emergency workers like fire fighters and police, handles inquiries from concerned family members outside the disaster area, provides blood and blood products to disaster victims, and helps them access other available resources.

For over 60,000 California foster children changing schools can mean losing months of learning progress and without necessary school supplies, catching up can be even harder. October 2011 - National Brain Tumor Society

National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for people living with a brain tumor today and anyone who will be diagnosed tomorrow. This means effecting change in the system at all levels.

We have a rigorous and thoughtful agenda, integrating research and public policy to bridge critical gaps. Starting with discovery science, to clinical trial design and the development of new therapies, there are many opportunities to make improvements and speed the momentum of new findings.
